きょとう (京都)

はよう!

きょうとはわたしのすきなにっぽんのとしです。

Kyoto is the city I always want to visit. I planed the visit there last summer before I flew back to China but I didn't make it. Anyway, it become my biggest regret now.

Kyoto is a historical city with traditional Japanese culture.

The second picture is typical maiko dress, hair ornaments, and nape make-up. I'm going to try it the next time I visit Kyoto!

I went to Kyoto when I was still in junior high many years ago. The only thing that stuck in my head was their McDonald's. I remember the tour guide told us that Kyoto was the only place in Japan that had their McDonald's restaurants change their signature red-and-yellow color theme in order to keep up with the city's tradition. Anyway, just thought that was really cool and you might wanna pay attention to it when you go in the future! ;)

I wonder what colors they used instead.
I don't know because I have never been to Kyoto, so I don't know the traditional colors, I am interested in what they could be though!
